We're delighted to see Elizabeth Large's review in Sunday's Baltimore Sun, "Fruit of the vine and good food, too." The three-and-one-half stars (out of four) she gives for Bistro Blanc's food equals the highest rating she has bestowed on only 5 other restaurants in the region, according to the Baltimore Sun restaurant review database.
We especially like the quotes, "Bistro Blanc is well worth the trip for Baltimoreans" and "a pretty restaurant with the trendiest menu around." It's unfortunate Ms. Large dined with us on an evening we were short-staffed, but the "knowledgeable bartender/sommelier" is our own Managing Parter, Trevor Ifill, about whom you'll learn more in upcoming posts.
We're particularly pleased that Ms. Large appreciated the creative cuisine of Chef Marc Dixon, evidenced by her statement, "you need to admire Dixon's elegant plates and taste just how fine his food is." His preference for the sous vide cooking method, which we'll also be discussing in more detail in upcoming posts, is unusual for the area but produces outstanding results.
Ms. Large's review helps spread the word about Bistro Blanc to a larger audience beyond Howard County, and we're eager to have you come give us a try. For our friends who have already discovered Bistro Blanc, we thank you for your help making us a success in our first year and we invite you back in soon.
